It was found that modified MS medium plus 7.5 to 10.0 mg/l NAA and 15 gm/l sucrose induced best embryoid formation. No effect was detected from other growth promoters or amino acid ( such as casein hydrolysate ) used in the experiment. Culture growth responses were also vatietal dependent. It was observed that culture of ‘SJ4’ cotyledon had the highest frequency of embryoid formation. |
